Care & keep.
Our pieces are built to last. Treat them well and they'll outlast trends, seasons, and most of what's in your wardrobe.
The basics
- Wash less. Heavy outerwear and structured pieces rarely need full washes. Air them out, spot clean, then wash only when needed.
- Wash cold. 30°C or lower for almost everything. Hot water breaks fibres, fades colour, and shrinks knits.
- Inside out. Always. Reduces friction on the outer face and preserves prints, embroidery, and texture.
- Skip the dryer. Air dry flat for knits, on a hanger for everything else. Tumble drying is the single biggest killer of well-made garments.
By material
Wool & cashmere
Dry clean only for tailored coats. For knits, hand wash cold with wool detergent or use a wool cycle. Dry flat reshaped. Never hang wet wool — it stretches.
Leather
Wipe with a damp cloth. Condition every 6-12 months with quality leather balm. Store on broad hangers away from sunlight. Never machine wash.
Down & padded
Machine wash cold with down-specific detergent. Tumble dry low with three clean tennis balls to redistribute fill. The one exception to skipping the dryer.
Cotton, denim & jersey
Cold wash inside out. Air dry. Heavy cotton and selvedge denim soften over time — wear and wash less aggressively to preserve structure.
Technical fabrics & shells
Wash separately on a gentle cycle with technical detergent (not regular). Skip fabric softener — it kills DWR coatings. Reapply waterproofing every 12-18 months.
